I decided to pursue an art education while I was working as a retail graphic designer in San Diego, California. Four years after quitting my job and relocating to Pasadena, I graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design. And since then, I've been working as a freelance illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles, California. I am working for a diverse mix of business and individual clients on a whole range of projects including picture book, album art, and promotional print collaterals. My works also appeared in the art shows at Gallery Nucleus, Nous Tous, La Luz de Jesus and Gallery 30.

Illustrations by Persimmon is created by Nadia Maneechote, an illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA and Bangkok, Thailand. The name Persimmon is directly translated from her Thai name ลูกพลับ or "Look-plub", a fist-size orange colored fruit from East Asia.

Her illustrations most often takes form through colorful pastel gouache and digital brushstrokes. She is inspired by all things nature, endless summers, and her love and curiosity for traveling to different parts of the world.
